4 studio apartments (maximum occupancy 2 people) and 1 one-bedroom apartment (maximum occupancy 3 people) are available in our limited equity housing coop.

• Down payments (member share value) range from $10,212 – $13,271, recoverable with interest on departure. Applicants may be able to get a Limited Equity Cooperative Housing Share Loan from Berkeley’s Consumer Cooperative Federal Credit Union. 
• 2020 monthly assessments range from $416 – $540/month.

All members contribute labor to govern, manage & maintain this 22-unit, 1920’s Spanish style building, located near UCB/Berkeley BART. The coop reviews assessments annually with the goal of having well-maintained housing at moderate cost. We are not a collective, group house, or co-housing.

• Completed applications should be emailed to [email protected]. If there is a second applicant, both applications should be attached. If you need to add a separate document in order to provide complete information (for example, if your answers require more space than is provided in the form), please save that separate document as a PDF and attach it to the email.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted, and edits/additions cannot be made after the July 17, 2020 application deadline.

We will contact you after the application deadline to let you know if you’ve been selected for an interview. Interviews will take place in August. If you anticipate not being available for an interview during that time, please include that information in your application.

If you are provisionally approved for membership, you will need to agree to a credit check, an employment/income/finances check, and a reference check. We will notify you before contacting your employer and references. 

All information and documentation provided by applicants will be kept confidential.
